Hailing from Mitchell, SD, Dr. Heesch is proud to have a remarkable family legacy as a fourth-generation dentist. She grew up in the profession and got to see firsthand how life-changing dentistry could be; so she knew from an early age that she wanted to carry on the family tradition.

Dr. Heesch pursued her undergraduate degree at Augustana University before attending the prestigious Creighton University School of Dentistry, where she coincidentally graduated on the 100th anniversary of her great-grandfather's graduation from the same institution. Following her dental school journey, Dr. Heesch embarked on a fulfilling path by joining the US Army, where she served as a dentist at Ft. Riley in Kansas for four years. Her commitment to serving others extended to working at a private family dental practice in Nebraska, further honing her skills while gaining valuable experience.

Throughout her career, Dr. Heesch has dedicated numerous hours of continuing education toward her professional development. She has focused on cosmetic dentistry, family dentistry, and sleep medicine, recognizing the importance of a holistic approach to dental care. She completed the Mastery Program offered by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and currently holds the distinguished title of Diplomate of the ABDSM. This title demonstrates her expertise and commitment to identifying and treating obstructive sleep apnea and snoring.

When she isn’t practicing dentistry, Dr. Heesch cherishes her role as a wife and mother. Her husband, a professor of exercise science at Augustana University, shares her dedication to their growing family. They have a young son and daughter, and their decision to be based in South Dakota reflects their eagerness to be close to their loved ones.
