Mercury & Metal-Free Dentistry

For fillings, we use safe, durable composite resin, and for most crowns, we use all-porcelain restorations. Your smile is part of your personality and your image. We will partner with you to maintain your oral health and your natural-looking, gorgeous smile.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Composite fillings (also known as tooth-colored fillings) are bonded with adhesive to your tooth structure, protecting against decay while rebuildling and strengthening a tooth. This bond can make a composite filling last 10 years or more (we have composites still in service since opening in 1981). Tooth-colored fillings provide long-term bacterial invasion protection, too. Once bonded, a conservative composite filling (less than ½ the width of the tooth) wears as well as amalgam fillings without causing micro-fractures and sensitivity. Additionally, tooth-colored fillings blend seamlessly with your smile as they are tinted to match your natural tooth color.

All-Porcelain Dental Crowns

Porcelain dental crowns are highly aesthetic, and they return structure, strength, and function to a tooth with extensive decay or damage. Porcelain’s translucent quality reflects light similar to tooth enamel, making the crowned tooth difficult to discern from the ones you developed naturally. Designed to fit snugly and function as a healthy tooth, a crown will protect it from further damage and preserve the jaw’s correct natural alignment. Typically, we can design, fit, and place your all-porcelain crown(s) in just two appointments.

Same-Day Dental Crowns (CEREC)

Waiting for a traditional dental crown often takes several weeks. However, CEREC same-day dental crowns are created and placed in just one day. Using CAD/CAM technology and specialized software to create a three-dimensional model of your tooth, we can send the image to our in-house milling unit, where it will create a beautiful, custom fitted crown that will be bonded in place restoring your tooth to a natural form and function.
